Typography

This collection of typography projects explores how type functions as both a structural and expressive design tool across a range of formats and contexts. The work includes a ticket design, a single page article layout, a magazine spread, and a series of marketing posters and materials. Together, these projects demonstrate an evolving understanding of typographic hierarchy, readability, composition, and visual voice.

Each project introduced a different set of constraints that required thoughtful typographic decisions. Designing a ticket emphasized clarity, information hierarchy, and spatial efficiency. The single page article and magazine spread focused on rhythm, pacing, and the relationship between text and negative space. Marketing materials required a more expressive approach, balancing attention grabbing typography with clear messaging and brand alignment.

Through this collection, I developed a stronger understanding of how typography shapes user experience. I learned how small typographic choices such as line length, spacing, alignment, and scale can significantly impact readability and tone. Working across multiple formats reinforced the importance of consistency while also showing how type can adapt to different communicative goals.

These projects helped me move beyond treating typography as decoration and toward using it as a core design system. They strengthened my ability to design with intention, communicate information clearly, and create layouts that guide the viewer’s eye. As a designer, this work sharpened my attention to detail, improved my confidence in layout decisions, and laid a foundation for more complex editorial, branding, and interaction design work.
